West 10th Street is where I lived for nearly ten years. A gorgeous northern light studio, the rooftop provided Manhattan as a backdrop if needed. I photographed all kinds of models untiringly, famous or not, using all kinds of cameras, whatever felt right as long as I could provide films. No hair makeup or stylists involved, one on one kind of situation. Sessions lasted from minutes to hours. All this was a lot of fun because there were no rules, time limit, or pressure. It was like living a photographer’s dream. The location had a lot to do with it, a mysterious place indeed, hard to describe, really. I finally moved one day this particular dream ended there.
